Beyoncé, Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar to attend Obama’s birthday bash

In case there was any doubt that the First Family was more hip than yours, consider this definite proof.

President Obama is ringing in his 55th year with a star-studded birthday bash at the White House Friday, inviting music power couple Beyoncé and Jay Z, along with the president’s favorite rapper, Kendrick Lamar.

Page Six reported the plans Thursday, the date of the president’s actual birthday. The First Lady is throwing the not-so-secret surprise party at the executive mansion Friday evening, just before the family makes their way to Martha’s Vineyard for their yearly vacation.

R&B artist Usher will perform Friday, while other Hollywood A-listers are also expected to grace the White House halls: Page Six reported that Ellen DeGeneres, Anna Wintour, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Stevie Wonder, and Magic Johnson will make appearances at the president’s birthday celebration.

This isn’t the first time pop sensations have serenaded the Obamas during landmark life events.

Back in 2014, for Michelle Obama’s 50th birthday bash, Beyoncé performed some pop hits before John Legend crooned his way through “Happy Birthday” for the first lady.

Celebrities aren’t the only ones with birthday tidings for the president.
