Kendrick Lamar Ponders Life in ‘Sing About Me’

Kendrick Lamar has dropped some Christmas love on all his HiiiPower fans by releasing the Sing About Me video. If you haven’t seen it yet, you definitely need to check it out as soon as you can. There’s a lot of fakes going around on YouTube right now, but if you head over to Perez Hilton, you can see the official video.

Everyone is familiar with the song already, but adding a new video for it just before the close of 2013 was a good idea in our opinion. The video’s pretty laid back, but it really fits the mood of the song. If you agree or disagree, let us know in a comment below.

As was recently announced by TDE, they have six NEW projects coming out in 2014. We’re betting that a new Kendrick Lamar album is going to be one of them. And of course Schoolboy Q already been talking about his new Oxymoron album coming out in late February of 2014.

Here’s what Perez Hilton (love him or hate him) had to say:

Kendrick officially Gave It 2 Us! Kendrick collaborated with artist Eddie Peake on a music video for Sing About Me that’s part of an ongoing video project!

The second part of the 12-minute song, Sing About Me, I’m Dying Of Thirst, from his album good kid, m.A.A.d. city, will be featured in the upcoming music video Dying Of Thirst. Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait until January for that part to be released!

New Video: Rich Gang Feat. Birdman, and Kendrick Lamar

Vibe magazine had a short post about the new 100 Favors video from Rich Gang that features Kendrick Lamar and Birdman. Kendrick has the last verse and really wraps up the song on many different levels. Rich Gang and Birdman are seen in the beginning of the new video – outside a huge mansion.

Here’s the official video on YouTube if you haven’t seen it yet.

This is another instance of Kendrick Lamar really offering something to someone else on one of their tracks. And what did you think of that tight t-shirt? Remember, we have a lot of great Kendrick Lamar gear over at our online shop where you can stock up on tees, hoodies and more.

New Music – Kanin & Kendrick Lamar – Winner Circle

If you haven’t heard it yet, you need to take a moment to listen to this new video by Kanin that features Kendrick Lamar. “Pacing back and forth…”

Kendrick is definitely in the winner’s circle right now. What do you think? This track is a little different than something Lamar has done on his own, but it’s still pretty tight in our opinion.

“All I wanna do is be heard…” Kendrick Lamar on Winning Circle. “I didn’t ask nobody for nothing.”

Kendrick Lamar Social Media Update: SZA and TDE

As you might know, Kendrick Lamar doesn’t update his Facebook and Twitter very often. But when he does, people listen because it’s usually something good. This was the case on Twitter today when he gave a shout out to an up and coming artist on the TDE label.

Top Dawg Ent has an eye for talent and SZA is no different. She’s not on a lot of radar screens at the moment, but we expect that to change shortly – especially since the King of the West is on her side and tweeting about her. Here’s the tweet Kendrick sent out about this singer on her way up.

Here’s her video if you want to watch. We think it’s kinda dope. The video is dark, but the song has some soul. And by the end, you’re sure you want to hear more from her. This the reason Kendrick pointed her out, we think.

If you’ve heard her before, be sure to leave a comment and let us know what you think. And if you’re just hearing her for the first time, leave a comment to show her some respect. She definitely has got some skills and we’re looking forward to hearing more from her in the months and years ahead. TDE is really on the way up.  Much respect.

Other than that tweet, Kendrick’s been pretty silent on social media websites. He has quite a few shows coming up, though, so he can be forgiven for not tweeting every few hours like some rappers desperate for attention. Kendrick Lamar is different in a lot of ways and the way he uses Twitter and Facebook shows this.
